Office for Culture and Tourism

Office of Tourism and Culture is a subunit of the Department of Cultural Affairs, Youth, Education, Sport and Health Service of Lviv City Council.

Office administers city policies in the fields of culture and tourism. It ensures the fulfillment of events and programs aimed at development of culture and tourism in the city, supports functioning culture institutions, associations and organizations. Important place in the city culture development belongs to cultural entrepreneurship, attraction of additional finance in culture and tourism of the city, development of infrastructure, creation of the condition for culture and tourism development.

One of the spheres of Office activities is maintaining traditional culture centers and introduction of new interesting city festivities and festivals. Each year their quantity and quality rises.

To set goals for culture and tourism development and to reach them it is important to have a complex analysis and prognosis. This is one of the Office responsibilities, together with realization of strategic tasks, ordering academic, marketing and other analytical researches, information, advertisement and publishing activities in the spheres of culture and tourism.
